We recently visited the California Science Center. We had a blast and this time my Grandpa joined us! we saw two different exhibits( I recommend the California Science Center for anyone who wants to have a fun and educational day! Since there are many free exhibits that have interactive play/learning). There were so many games and fun examples of different science related things.

The first exhibit as Pompeii. I was intrigued from the beginning. Especially because I knew that I would be learning this later on in Ancient civ. so I went right in and was ready to get some studying done before we have even started. The most interesting part had to be seeing the people that were just molted into a cast. One was a man on steps and to get the correct shape of the man they included the steps. I had an amazing journey as I learned all about the disaster of Pompeii.

After that we headed over to the Endeavor space craft.  I learned all about how it was taken down the streets. we got to see exactly what the people in mission control were doing as there was a step by step walk through of what they said, what they ate , and they were doing. We even got to go into a simulator to see what it felt like and looked like.

I had so much fun and learned so much. I couldn't believe the amazing things my eyes can witness. That journey helped in many ways. I will never forget our endless journeys.

PictureMe and my grandma (I was 4 then)
I  have another grandma who has helped me experience many things. Professor Patty (grandma Patty). She has helped me discover that I love acting. That made me think maybe she should be apart of our Grandma U experience. Every thing we do is fun so I think she will accept the invitation. She is kind, Willing and smart so she deserves to be apart of this.

As I was saying she helped me discover I loved to act. It was not long ago and I signed up for a play .I t was a company for kids from five to 18 to be in a play I was in "My Son Pinocchio". I auditioned to be a small part in the play. I got the part of a fairy (I personally thought she was the best character) That was in every scene but two . I was proud of myself. The reason my grandma helped was because this was very expensive. The costumes ,the props, and renting the theater. My grandma paid for us and did volunteer work too. I thank my Grandma so much for this. She is a true Grandma U Professor.

HI,

It's Parker here. I can't believe That it is third day already! For tonight we are going to black history month at the Rancho Cucamonga Public Library - Biane Library at Victoria Gardens. There are so many different activities! An actual Tuskegee Airman will speak about his experience as a pilot and there is a family story time as well. Doors open at 6:45. It starts 7pm and ends 9pm.

Last week, my grandma and I created a special surprise for my little sister Ola Mae. It was a book ! Not just any book a custom book! We shared this wonderful surprise with her today. She loved it! They had pictures of her all over the book and used her name.

What fun GU has been so far! We reached out to talented artist DJ Hughes to create a logo for GU. With basic info on what we were doing and the symbols we wanted reflected, DJ quickly came up with these concepts - we've selected a favorite for him to develop further but what do you think? Which one would you pick?
